Two Takeaways From Today's US Senate Hearing

1. Comparison of the USA with South Korea in handling the Covid-19 pandemic from Sen. Kaine Exhibit. Even if corrected for differences in population, the USA has 50 times more deaths than South Korea per capita. Simply staggering!
2. When asked by Sen. Romney (paraphrasing) whether it was highly likely, unlikely, or more likely than not to have a vaccine within a year or two, Dr. Fauci's answer was that it was more likely than not, which practically means that in his opinion the chance of it happening in this time frame is only above 50%, i.e. basically it has a 50-50 chance of happening.
